I’ve spent over two decades working for the government in the justice system—supervising offenders, working in prisons, and most recently, juggling a high-stress job in community corrections. It was meaningful work, but it took a toll. Shift work and long hours. High burnout. Living away from home most of the week. I felt like I was living two separate lives—and losing myself in the process.

Like so many women over 50, I’d done everything “right.” Worked hard. Showed up. Kept going. But somewhere along the way, I stopped asking what I really wanted.

Then one day, I hit a wall. I realized I was done. Done with the stress. Done with putting myself last. Done with trading my time and energy for a job that left me depleted.

That’s when I decided I couldn’t keep doing this. I started looking for something that gave me purpose and freedom. But the deeper I looked, the more I ran into quick-fix schemes and advice that didn’t speak to women like me. I was about ready to give up—until I found something that actually made sense.

That search led me to Launch You, and it changed everything. I’m learning how to build a digital business that works around my life, not the other way around. Now, I’m creating something that lets me be fully present with my family, travel more often, and live life on my own terms—with peace of mind and a sense of purpose that finally feels like mine.

This isn’t just about business. It’s about reclaiming who you are and what matters to you.
